Australia Test Matches Updates
Australia won the first test against New Zealand. And almost close to winning the second Test.
The tourists' starting lineup for Friday's second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch will not alter, according to Australian skipper Pat Cummins.
Cummins revealed that Australia had chosen the same squad that thrashed the Black Caps by 172 runs in Wellington last week when speaking to reporters at Hagley Oval on Thursday. As a result, the accomplished pace trio of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Cummins will have participated in seven straight Test matches during the domestic season, including a World Cup victory in India.
With youthful fast Will O'Rourke sidelined by injury for the series finale, New Zealand will make at least one change to its starting lineup. Ben Sears, an uncapped seamer, will play his first Test match in Christchurch, and, depending on circumstances, spinner Mitchell Santner may take the place of fast bowler Scott Kuggeleijn.
Australia's victory over New Zealand at the Basin Reserve last week meant that they would keep the Trans-Tasman Trophy for a record 13 series running. Since 1993, the Black Caps have not triumphed over Australia at home.
