Pat Cummins to captain SRH in IPL 2024
Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins has been named Sunrisers Hyderabad's captain for the 2024 IPL season. Cummins, who was purchased at auction for INR 20.50 Cr, takes over from Aiden Markram after a poor 2023 season. He and Daniel Vettori, the new head coach, are part of the Australian national team. Cummins' quick rise to prominence has led to Australia winning the World Test Championship under his leadership. SRH purchased the first player in history after receiving an offer exceeding INR 20 Cr at the auction.
